Swash teamed with luxury English outdoor gear manufacturer RAB to produce a one off sleeping bag and leather carry handle. Friendly forest animals wander through an autumnal wonderland and a traditional leather quilt harness compliments the handmade theme of the project.

LE BON MARCHÉ LES 160 ANS DU BON MARCHÉ

For their 160th birthday, le Bon Marché commissioned designers and artists to rework vintage scarf patterns from their archive. Sarah and Toshio chose a graphic 1930s design and gave it typical Swash treatment adding minute textures, jewel colours and of course Candy adding a touch of Swash whimsy.

HVÈRES FESTIVAL

Again Hyères in the beautiful South of France was decked out in Swash literally as the duo provided relief for weary fashion festival goers in the shape of special edition Hawaiian deckchairs.

CAMPER

Currently adorning the side of London’s famous red Routemaster busses, Swash for Camper saw the two iconic brands join forces to create a capsule collection of pumps and wedges. Taking two classic archival prints and vintage leather detailing Sarah and Toshio injected the famous Spanish brand with a touch of English eccentricity.

ISETAN

Isetan delved into the Swash world and decked out 5 floors of their iconic store with a kaleidoscope of keys, Candys and cages. Visitors were treated to floor to ceiling paper creations down the smallest details of illustrated menus in the on site restaurants. For two weeks Isetan became a Swash scarf.

COCHINECHINE

Situated in leafy West London, Cochinechine now boasts an interior adorned with Fabergé egg prints fit for a Tsar. An antique shell sofa sits next to two matching chairs while shoppers change behind Swash curtains in this mini Candy’s palace.

LIBERTY LONDON

For a few weeks in February, balloons descended into the famous scarf room at Liberty as Swash brought another artwork to life. Pictures by David Dunan looked on as handmade airships rose above a room glowing with paint box pictures.

BARNEYS NEW YORK 25TH ANNIVERSARY SCARF

“Happy Birthday Barneys” barks Candy as whippets course around an enormous celebratory cake. Candy is joined by Erin, Olive, Pearl, Willow, Iris May and Leonard as ribbons and balloons float through the clouds on this special edition scarf.

NEW YORK TIMES STYLE MAGAZINE

Swash redesigned the ‘T’ in ‘Times’ when they were asked to grace the cover of this famous publication. Candy soared through the air on a bed of flowers in this dreamlike spring inspired artwork.

HYÈRES FESTIVAL

For the 24th Hyères festival a Swash scarf came to life in an artwork installation over four rooms. Walls were adorned with hand drawn and painted fauna and supersized Candy peered through a wreath composed of hand crafted paper flowers. Framed artworks graced the walls of two further rooms and were followed by a scarf retrospective of the previous five years creations.
